As part of the celebrations for the Kepri Marine Festival taking place in Bintan from 20 to 30 October 2016, some 100 yachts from around the region are expected to sail into Bintan harbour to join the festivities.
Flying the flag for Singapore at this boating festival is Hong Seh Marine who will be leading a flotilla of some 40 yachts. The convoy will be sailing from One Degree 15 Marina to Tanjung Pinang, Bintan Island on Friday, October 28 and return on Sunday, October 30.
Along with ample time on the water, activities scheduled for the weekend include a boat parade, traditional dances and games, a city tour and a gala dinner. A drone competition has also been planned along with a sky lantern festival where thousands of lanterns are expected to be released into the sky.

Tanjung Pinang is approximately 33 nautical miles southwest of Bintan Resorts and boatees and their guests will make their second overnight stop here. Leaving Tanjung Pinang on Sunday morning, the convoy will retrace their route and are expected back in Singapore by 6pm.
There is no administrative charge to join the convoy although participants will be responsible for their own personal expenses, such as food and accommodation, along with fuel, berthing and associated transport costs for their vessels.
