Rivamare

August 4, 2016 • Davison

The successor to the Aquariva promises to combine style and charm with more cutting edge technology and a level of comfort never seen in boats of this size.

Riva has launched the successor to its Aquariva Super – the Rivamare. And like its predecessors, the Rivamare promises to combine style and charm with cutting edge technologies, and a level of comfort never seen in boats of this size.

The Rivamare is 11.88 metres (39 ft) long with a full beam of 3.5 metres (11.6 ft). The design is a collaboration between Officina Italiana Design and the Ferretti Group. The boat is equipped with a pair of D6 400 DPH Volvo Penta engines, each generating 400 Mhp at 3,500 rpm, with integrated trim control provided by a stern drive and interceptor management system. Cruising speed is 31 knots with a maximum speed of 40 knots.

The Rivamare can be fitted with an integrated control system featuring joystick control and docking mode functions, makes it extremely easy to manoeuvre in narrow waters, as in sideways-mooring for example, thanks to the movement achieved by the combined use of the propellers. Advanced autotrim function optimizes the trim while accelerating and steering, with combined action on the stern drives and interceptors.

As is befitting a Riva, performance also means comfort: In terms of interior space, the engineers and designers have worked magic: The Rivamare comes with a kitchen, a bathroom with separate shower, and a living area in the bow that converts into a double bed. Air-conditioning can also be installed in the lower deck and helm station and, for the first time on a boat this size, a Seakeeper NG5 stabiliser can be fitted to minimize rolling motion when at anchor.
